This is the most contested congressional race in New York City: the 11th district which comprises all of Staten Island and a portion of Brooklyn. Republican incumbent Congressman Dan Donovan is facing political newcomer Max Rose, the Democratic nominee and 31-year-old Army veteran. Although Donovan is leading, the two candidates are statistically tide. Rose can count on the Staten Island immigrant communities’ vote.
