According to the Pew Research Center, Muslim Americans make up 1.1 percent of US population. And the number is keeping growing. By the year of 2050, the percentage will reach 2.1% and Muslim will replace the Jews as the second largest religious group. As the population continues to grow, we can see more and more political engagement of them. Especially this year, on national level, there are more than 50 Muslim candidates running for different positions with nine for Congress.
